Health & Safety Course Policies and Information
In our continuing efforts to provide the best customer service to our students and due to our limited class size, we ask that you make every effort to attend the course(s) for which you have been scheduled.
v Course fees are NON-REFUNDABLE, unless ARC cancels the course and there are no other course dates available.
v With 48 hours notice, we will happily reschedule you into another class at no charge. You will be allowed to reschedule your class two (2) additional times with a rescheduling fee of $10.00 per each reschedule. After rescheduling two (2) times, your class fee will be forfeited, and if you still wish to take the class, you must reregister and pay the full class fee.
v If you miss your class, you must contact our office within two (2) business days to reschedule or your class fees will be forfeited. Contact must be made during chapter business hours.
v Payment for classes and materials can only be made by credit/debit card, money order or cash. NO personal checks will be accepted; however, approved company checks will be accepted.
v There will be an $8.00 charge for lost, misplaced or stolen cards.
v Classes lasting all day will have a lunch break, and you are given short breaks throughout the class.
v Children are not allowed in class unless they are enrolled as students.
v Dress comfortably as some skills require working on the floor. Please refrain from wearing lipstick or make-up that may stain the manikins.
v You will be participating in two forms of testing during the course:
1) Skill testing where you will practice skills on a partner or manikin, and
2) Written testing where multiple choice tests will be given after each class segment.
v If you do not pass a test, the instructor will give you further instructions.
v If you have any physical conditions or reading problems, please notify the chapter office at the time of enrollment. We want you to succeed in completing the class and may need to arrange for assistance. If we are not notified in advance, the instructor may ask that you reschedule into another class so that we may better meet your needs.
v If you have a respiratory illness or other infection, please reschedule with the chapter office during business hours.
v CPR and First Aid can be strenuous. Consider your health and safety first. If you are under a doctor’s care, please check with your physician before attending class.
v Due to limited parking. All students are asked to park at the American Red Cross Office located at 16248 Desert Knoll Drive Victorville, CA 92395.
